Important news update

Hello everybody! I hope you're all well and looking forward to the summer league! The first round of fixtures will be on 30th April - we will of course share the group draws and fixtures closer to the time.

For those who have entered the 3 man comp, we hope you are enjoying it.

We have some very important information to share with you ALL. (All divisions)

Discussions have taken place within the committee regarding the increased demand for international rules to be brought in. We have recognised that there are many teams that prefer this ruleset and also teams that haven't tried them before but love the game enough to be able to adapt. We also understand and respect those that are against this ruleset. We are of course affiliated with the EPA who use international as their one standard ruleset, so our long term commitment is to eventually align the league with this. However, we have decided to take a steady approach to this matter. Our implementation is as follows:

Those who have entered or are expecting to enter the summer season, as a league first, you will be given the option of playing international or LDPL rules for this coming summer league. The league will run the 2 sets of rules side by side in completely separate competitions.

For the coming winter league, we are expanding the international ruleset to be played in all regions within divisions 1 and 2 (currently only 'elite' divisions). Based on this, teams may want to try the ruleset for the coming summer.

For those that are not familiar with the ruleset, you will now have the option of playing in the summer league to give the international ruleset a try. All committee members are available to support and explain where you require help.

Once we have completed these two seasons, we will seek your feedback and review this again, then inform everyone of the update going forward.

Teams are to contact Matt Leeming or Rikesh Kotecha regarding your team entry's preferred ruleset.

On another note, we have also introduced our very own WhatsApp community. We are hoping this will keep all communication in one area of WhatsApp instead of having multiple group chats.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
