The Green Man (Tuesday Division One) have moved venue to Healing British Royal Legion due to the closure of their previous venue. They will be keeping their existing team name.

RackEmApp Knockout Dates Glitch

We are aware of a possible glitch on the app which is showing the Tuesday Team Knockout dates as MON 07 SEP 2026 and we have informed RackEmApp about this. The dates for the Tuesday Team Knockout matches are showing correctly on our website (6th October, 27th October, 17th November, 8th December):

Team Knockout Competitions

The first matches in the new format for the team knockout competitions take place this week. These group stage matches are not a race to eight like previous knockout matches. You must play the full fifteen frames.

Player Registration Deadline

We made this clear before the season began, but after a couple of teams tried to register players after the 19:30 deadline in the opening matches, we will state it again. New players must be registered before 19:30 on a match night in order to be eligible to play in your match.

Captain's Rights

If you are a team captain, please could you ensure that there are enough players on your team who also have RackEmApp, a registered profile and captain's rights for when you are not going be in attendance at matches.

Minimum Player Requirement

A team forfeited their opening match as they only had three players and didn't think they were allowed to play a match with less than five players. Our rules state:

"A minimum of three players can attempt to play a match in all competitions as a result can still be achieved."

Even with three players, you can still play nine frames (twelve in the Wednesday Premier Division) and secure a win or a draw.

Venues

Whilst we understand that we are an amateur pool league and do not expect every venue to have professional standard pool tables, there are minimum requirements that we expect venues to adhere to when it comes to their tables. Our rules state:

"Venues are required to maintain their tables to a playable standard including, but not limited to, a brushed and level playing service, adequate room to cue from all sides, the use of match balls and the provision of a rest and spider. Multiple complaints regarding the standard of a table will be investigated by members of the Executive Committee. Should it be deemed that a table is not in a playable condition, any teams that play from that venue may be required to play their home matches from a neutral venue until any such problems with the table are resolved."

A commitee member visited one venue last week after away teams informed us that there was insufficient room to cue around the table. A plan of action was agreed with the venue to resolve this.
